| From Chapter 134 Frank Wills MAXEY ELEMENTARY PARTNER IN EDUCATION OF YEAR AWARD The New Outlook Telecom Pioneers, Orlando Life Member Club are a very active organization at Maxey Elementary School. They have donated dictionaries to 3rd Grade students this year to help with various small group activities during instructional time. Every nine weeks, the Principal Award winners (those students in K-5 who receive all A’s on their report cards) are taken to CiCi’s Pizza where the Pioneer Club members provide medallions to the students as well as give them a handmade gift bags with various treats. They also enjoy lunch with the students at CiCi’s and are engaged in meaningful conversations. The students love to eat lunch with the Pioneer Club members. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, the New Outlook Telecom Pioneers, Orlando Life Member Club visit the homes of students in need and provide the families with food baskets for their holiday cooking. The New Outlook Telecom Pioneers, Orlando Life Member Club are truly a blessing to the students, families, faculty and staff members of Maxey Elementary School. Our motto at Maxey is, “where teamwork makes the dream work” and the Pioneers Club has truly gone above and beyond to help us make that a reality. |
